What a perfect day for hiking! Partly cloudy skies, cool temperatures, and absolutely no flying pests! Well, it was perfect for Hiking with Impunity, anyway!
For our hike, we ventured to the Sourland Mountain Preserve in New Jersey. With 4,000 acres, and many different trails at our disposal, we hiked through Devil's Half-Acre Boulders, Roaring Rock Boulders, and listened to the sounds of the Roaring Brook (one day, we're going to write an essay solely about the naming of Boulders, Brooks, and Bears!).
We'll be bringing you full details about our hike soon enough. For now, we leave you with this image of one of the countless boardwalks found along some of the trails in Sourland Preserve. And, for anyone who may have found our calling card while on the trails at Sourland today, post a comment and let us know what trails you took today!
